QUANTITY SURVEYING SERVICES POST-CONTRACT

Pre-Construction Stage

  • Review all Contract documents and align discrepancies
  • Review Contract in order to identify possible scope gaps.
  • Oversee Commercial and Contract standardization for project submittals
  • Pinpoint areas of works for potential Value Engineering to the Client
  • Review Insurances and Bonds in accordance with Contract
  • Review contractors commercial and contractual team CV’s
  • Initiate procedures for Provisional Sum and Prime Cost Sum expenditure.

 

Construction Stage

  • Checking contractors progress applications and recommending payments
  • Preparing periodic cost forecasts of the Final Account
  •  Monitoring and reporting on the project cost
  • Adjusting for variations and measuring work in accordance with the terms of the contract
  • Adjusting the contract sum in accordance with price variation clauses.
  • Preparing Procurement packages for Client direct purchases.
  • Overseeing expenditure of Clients Provision Sums items.
  • Liaising with Financiers (including Banks) and reporting Project status.
  • Assessing non performance of Contractors and valuing possibility of de-scoping works and awarding to others.
  • Monitor supply chain requirements.
  • Preparing final accounts and making final reports.

  • Examining, advising and reporting on cost delay/ disruption and other claims under the contract.
